  • Large production volumes

    The XF-640 is about 2.5 times faster than its predecessor (the XJ-640) and achieves a maximum speed of 102m²/h in banner printing. This combined speed and quality makes the XF-640 the perfect device for the production of large volumes.

  • The latest print heads

    The print heads in the XF-640 are "staggered". This enables very high printing speeds. A new technology allows the precision control of these heads. Quite apart from the fact it is the latest print head available in the market. The four colours (CMYK) have a mirror arrangement within the heads, thereby ensuring an identical ink colour sequence in both printing directions. You are therefore assured of excellent quality in all print modes.

  • Latest ink

    ECO-SOL MAX2 was awarded an EDP Award for Best New Generation Solvent Ink Technology. It is the latest generation of Roland DG's award-winning eco-solvent ink. The ink scores very highly on all relevant counts: the outdoor durability, scratch resistance, chemical resistance and colour range. In addition, the ink is compatible with the widest range of print media in the market. Thanks to its new composition, the ink is capable of creating even sharper images. Furthermore, ECO-SOL MAX2 is totally nickel free.

  • Robust design

    The XF-640 has a rugged construction, enabling the print head to move stably over the printing media even at the highest speeds. The media feed is also accurate and smooth - even at high volumes - thanks to the 16 pinch rollers, improved grid rollers, and a durable motor. Thus you can have uninterrupted printing for long durations without any problems. The robust design also ensures lower and easier maintenance.

  • New take-up system and drying system

    The XF-640 is equipped with a new take-up system that quickly and carefully rolls your prints. Even heavy material (up to 50kg) is firmly held in place, and rolled up evenly. The new optional blower/dryer ensures that the ink dries uniformly even at high speeds.

  • Efficient operation

    The ink cartridges are placed in the front part of the printer, so that you can replace them quickly. You can also easily place media rolls and clamp them in place both at the front and the rear. It is also easy to place smaller rolls, because the roll can be fixed on the take-up system both on the left as well as on the right. Special supports also ensure that heavy rolls can be safely placed and removed. Further, the cover opens with a single press. This simplifies the maintenance of the unit.

  • Roland VersaWorks

    This device is supplied with VersaWorks, which is powerful and user-friendly RIP software specially designed for the Roland inkjet technology. The software allows you to use your device optimally. VersaWorks updates can also be downloaded free of cost.
